Open-source licences
Draft for review before public launch.
BongKert Studio is free software, distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 or later (AGPL-3.0-or-later).
Your rights
Under that licence, everyone who receives BongKert Studio may run, study, share and modify it, and may ask for the complete corresponding source code of the version they received. The licence text ships inside the app (LICENSE) and is published at gnu.org.
Getting the source
Download it: Source code has the complete corresponding source of every version, free and from any country. For each version that includes the app, its build scripts and every Rust crate it builds with. It also includes the FFmpeg we ship on the Mac and on Windows with every library built into it, and sherpa-onnx with espeak-ng. SOURCES.txt in each version says which file in the app comes from which source.
For every version of BongKert Studio we distribute, we also offer anyone who has received it the complete corresponding source code under AGPL-3.0-or-later, and the source of the GPL and LGPL components it includes under their licences. The offer is free of charge apart from the cost of delivery, and stands for at least three years after we last distribute that version.
To ask for it, write to [email protected] and name your version (Settings → About shows it).
Other components
The app includes these open-source components, each under its own licence. The full notices ship inside the app (THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md), and their sources are available from their projects or from us on request.

Where it started
BongKert Studio began as a modified version of Concat, an open-source video editor by Jareer and the Concat contributors (AGPL-3.0-or-later), and has been developed a long way since. “Concat” and its logo belong to their owner and are not used as the name or logo of this product. BongKert Studio is not endorsed by the Concat project.
